I am Sven Hanefeld—a communication designer, media designer, photographer, and film editor.
Under the banner of Beetle Media, I combine my experience in design, photography, editorial work, and film production to offer comprehensive services for print and media.
My passion for design began early—with a camera and my own darkroom during my youth. After gaining experience in various professional roles, I completed an internship with a professional photographer and launched my own freelance business in 2007. I was particularly fascinated by fashion photography, working at international shows in Milan, Paris, New York, and Berlin.
In 2010 and 2011, I expanded my qualifications at the Digital Arts Academy AEP in Hamburg, specializing in print and media design. Since then, I have designed advertising materials, magazines, and books—handling everything from initial concept to print preparation.
I have a special interest in book design; in addition to my own publications, I created the art book
Partisanen der Kunst – Boleslaw und Kazimierz Jankowski, which is available in bookstores.
As an author, I also explore the history of photography. My book
Die Geschichte der Photographie – Das 19. Jahrhundert (The History of Photography – The 19th Century) was published in 2016, followed in 2022 by the second volume,
1918 – 1945.
Furthermore, my love for mathematics led to the creation of the book
Mathematik für Alle – Grundlagen, Quantenwelt und die Gesetze der Relativität (Mathematics for Everyone – Fundamentals, the Quantum World, and the Laws of Relativity).
Since 2023, I have been expanding my portfolio to include film and motion design through studies at the Deutsche POP Academy and an intensive film editing course at the Schnittakademie Berlin. I work with software such as DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Avid Media Composer, and have experience in editing narrative, documentary, and music-based content.
Additionally, I offer color grading, sound editing, and technical support up to picture lock.
